Honorably discharged veterans are being given a rare opportunity to land a job with the Port of New York and New Jersey. On May 28, the Port Jobs for Veterans Job Fair will be held at the Maher Terminal Building in Elizabeth, N.J., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event specifically targets veterans who are looking for employment as electricians, managers, engineers, port authority police officers and many other employment fields.
